President Of Lucas Film Confirms A New Indiana Jones Movie
There is great news for Indiana Jones fans because the president of Lucas film Kathleen Kennedy has just confirmed that a sequel featuring the adventurous professor of archaeology is in the works. Although he didn't comment about a time line for the project, he did reveal that talks have started about the project and a script will soon be in the works.
There had been talk of another Indiana Jones movie since 2008 when The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull premiered. It is not clear whether long time leading man Harrison Ford will be reprising his role of the swash buckling hero. But earlier this year it was reported that Steven Spielberg who directed the first four Indian Jones movies wanted to cast Guardians of The Galaxy star Chris Pratt and give the franchise a reboot. Pratt has also been handpicked by Spielberg as the lead in the new Jurassic World movie.
As far as the 72 year old actor Harrison Ford is concerned, he has been laying low after suffering from some serious injuries as a result of a small plane crash in the month of March. During an interview in 2013, the Star Wars actor was asked whether he would like to continue his role in the Indiana Jones movie, to which he said that he believed that it would be perfectly appropriate for him to return to the role in his current age of 70.
He said that he always found the character interesting and the fact that he prevailed against all odds and had the necessary courage and even though he would be frightened, he would still manage to survive. He said that he can still do all of the above.
