Olivia Wilde (born March 10, 1984) is an American model, producer and actress. She is known for her role at the TV show House M.D, as doctor Remy. She was born in New York. Her parents are: Andrew Cockburn, a journalist and Leslie Cockburn, an American 60 Minutes producer and journalist. Olivia has a dual citizenship, Ireland and the United States. Her stage name is Wilde, which has been taken from Irish author Oscar Wilde. She was voted as the Sexiest Vegetarian Celebrity of 2010.
She is known for movies like: Tron Legacy, Alpha Dog, Conversations with Other Women, The Girl Next Door, Turistas, House M.D and Cowboys & Aliens. Maybe the most important role was in House M.D, where Olivia was played a bisexual and secretive internist, Dr. Remy Hadley. She announced that this part was so important for her, that she often used some cues from it! She was convinced that she is a doctor.
In 2006 she won US Comedy Arts Festival, for the best actress for Bickford Shmeckler's Cool Ideas. Two years after, in 2008, she was nominated for the Choice TV Breakout Star Female for House, a Teen Choice Award.
Olivia married for the first time in 2003, when she was 19 years old. Her husband was Tao Ruspoli, an Italian musician and filmmaker. They married in the school bus, because this was the only place they had a privacy, and the marriage was a secret. They divorced in 2011. The same year Olivia started dating with Jason Sudeikis, an American actor and comedian. They engaged in January 2013 and have a son, Otis Alexander (born April 20, 2014).
